Image, Reputation and Privacy Protection of personality rights against unlawful invasions is increasingly needed in our society, namely due to the unauthorized use of photographs and videos in the press and television, as well as on the internet. The economic importance of publicity rights has substantially increased in recent years mainly because of the benefits attained to the licensing of image and publicity rights for the endorsement, promotion, advertising and merchandising of products. We have provided advice and represented in litigation important companies in the fashion and cosmetics industries; have assisted fashion models and advertising agencies in drafting contracts for publicity and merchandising rights; and have also represented clients in defamation actions of any sort, including online defamations and internet privacy invasions. |
